N.L. Belardes
Chicano writer, artist, photographer, punk, social commentator, hockey player, and all around creative juvenile extraordinaire, N.L. Belardes is the author of the instant literary cult classic Lords: Part One as well the children's fiction, The Blimperwhirls. N.L. first made his way into literary fiction through self-examination of his own cross country travels in his unreleased novel The Citrus Girl. Here in his website you can read through many excerpts from a series of works both dramatic and childish; all are all part of a greater literary vision which will make him known as one of the most prolific writers ever out of California's Southern San Joaquin Valley.

N.L. Belardes currently resides in Bakersfield, California, the very same city where the 'Lords of Bakersfield' still make headlines. He writes the popular local blog: Paperback Writer (and others). N.L. also hosts the first podcast out of Bakersfield, the Buck City Podcast, which features local music, news, theatre folk, and more. He has worked as a creative writer for the Las Vegas Fremont Street Experience, TV, various magazines; and he takes haunting photos.

N.L. Belardes also worked on the Noveltown hockey CD in affiliation with the Bakersfield Condors, Growing Up Fighting: Bakersfield Hockey Vol. 1 . This CD promotes local bands and supports Noveltown in its endeavor to serve the literary arts and the music scene in the Southern San Joaquin Valley.
