The N.L. Belardes Online Gallery - Meet Nur Polat

As an artist myself, I have a fondness for not only music, but literature, history, painting, sculpture and photography. I am proud that my first featured artist (other than the local musicians I have been talking about for the past few months) is Nur Polat. Nur isn't a local but a great artist and friend who hails from Istanbul, Turkey. There, she is a photographer/artist whose work is known throughout art circles, in the community cafe's, college exhibition circuit, and in her own gallery, 'Cocoon'. At Cocoon she features other artist's works as well as runs classes in photography, ceramics, and more. Not long ago I asked Nur if she would like to design the cover of my forth coming novel, Cubicles. Take a look at some of her great work...
