Norfolk joins band blogs, Lost Ocean no longer adrift - by N.L. Belardes

Forget Norfolk's website. There's maybe three words on it. These guys have an N.L. Belardes band blog and a myspace account; that's where it's at. Ok, they do have a website at norfolkband.com. But don't go to it unless you want to make James feel guilty for his lack of content. They've also just recorded two songs for an e.p. that's has some cool tunes on it for your listening pleasure. The Attic is more of a rocking tune than My Broken Heart. Both are good songs and worth a spin, so go check them out. And all you lazy bands out there who won't do a band blog, shame on you. I hope you all get lectured by the Black Jerks who I hear are still screaming at least three hail Bergs a day.

And don't forget. There are great shows tonight. At Vinny's Bar I'll be watching Flabbergasted's debut along with a few other great local bands. Gumbeaux's has Soulajar in their midst this evening for a raucous acoustic set.

Final note:
I hear that Lost Ocean has a cd out, but I can't get it in my paws. C'mon Brett Black, Chris, Jeff and Skyler--get with it--I'm beginning to feel like the lost writer here... You can hear their great tune Douse the Choir on their myspace site that's getting tons of hits. If you haven't heard Skyler on the keyboards then go get in line to be abused by Reverend Kenny Filthy of the Lost Punk House of the Shameless Soul. He's got the cane of 'grandpappy righteousness' ready to whoop you into shape for proper listening behavior in the Southern San Joaquin Valley Musack Scene...
