Norfolk and Nunez on a danceless night - By N.L. Belardes

There was hardly anyone in the crowd and James of Norfolk pointed that out. "I'm glad the bands showed up," he said. Where were all the Gigantic kids I had seen a week prior? Nowhere to be found. There were a few exceptions of course. But I happily snapped some photos. Nonetheless, Norfolk still played a rousing set while Nunez and friends afterward played acoustic jams. Nunez is a fun kid to watch. He's into his art, feels it in each ditty, and when he sings in Espanol, you have to dig this kid. I do. Jimmy Holliday, Dante Esperanza, Quarter Horse and Cecilia Red were to play later, but I was starving and headed out for John's Burgers to grab a greasy burger and fries. I left thinking, "Man I don't get paid for this I hope no one gets offended that I left." That was the end of the night for me. Don't worry Gigantic. I love your shows and will be back for more... but when the people are so quiet, I have a hard time feeling the energy...burgers were calling.
