Rural rock punk band, RidiKule faces setback with injury to guitar player - By N.L. Belardes
Here's the latest word from RidiKule... seems they may never be the same. I wish Jeff a speedy recovery and hope he gets functionality out of his awesome guitar-arm...
Dear NL and Fans of Ridikule,
Jason and I (Chris) have decided to release an official notice of the band taking an unplanned, but long overdue break. The main reason for this is the fact that our drummer is nowhere to be found and is undependable. Another reason is that recently our lead guitar player , Jeff, has sustained an injury to his forearm rendering him unable to play. He has cut a tendon that may never let him play again. Jason and I will still be working on new material and this includes our contribution to NL's Hockey Fight Song Comp. CD. " I Hit An NHL Star ". We will not be playing this Thursday @ MWP, but with some help from a good friend of ours Preston Nash, we might be able to pull off the July 29th show at Vinny's and the 2nd Annual Festival of Bands @ The Dome on Aug.6th. We are currently in the hunt for a new drummer and Lead guitatist. We regret this decision to cancel the shows, but we are really left with no choice. We will be putting out new songs and we WILL be back to play shows once again for all of our great fans and supporters. Thanks for being there, see ya soon.
Jason and Chris "RIDIKULE"
P.S. On another note Chris will be playing with MY DYSFUNCTIONAL ME as a permanent addition to the band. The new style is challenging and brings out a whole other side of me and the guys are great. The first chance to see me with the new band is on July 14th @ MWP for the KRAB show. Then catch us with LEVEL on the 16th also @ MWP. Pick up a FREE demo c.d. with all the bands and a FREE raffle ticket to win a guitar from GUITAR CENTER or a skateboard deck from OUTER LIMITS and gift certificates. If your car is dirty come see us at Deja Vu for the Annual Charity Car Wash from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. also with KRAB radio.
