Here's an interesting statistic for you. If you were to type "Bakersfield" into the Google search engine, you would come up with an entire stream of Bakresfield corporate, educational, and sports nonsense. OK, maybe not nonsense, but you would be hard-pressed to find nlbelardes.com. If you were to type in "Bakersfield blog" into the Google search engine you might find nlbelardes.com three pages in, depending on the day.

Now, try Google's new blog search engine just launched a few days ago. Type in "Bakersfield". See that? Temporarily #1! (you never know you will be #1 tomorrow)

Remember, Google owns blogger.com. Even so, I'm proud of my little website. It's an accomplishment only brought about by the local Bakersfield art community who has helped bring traffic, crosslink, and so on to make nlbelardes.com a high ranking Google blog site. Thank you all... -n.l.
