Yes, I'd disappeared this weekend. I retreated into the bowels of my home, locked the doors, only to peek my head out for brief moments of respite. What had I been doing?

Constructing.

Wednesday I missed a lot of good shows.

Building.

Thursday I missed a lot of good shows.

Paper Mache cooking. Framing photos...

Same for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Building, connecting, painting, stringing...
For what aim? To get ready for the Dia de Los Muertos Group Show at the Empy Space Theatre behind Pizzaville on October 15th.

This is a dandy of a show. I have 10 pieces, 7 of which are photos in a series titled, La Familia de Sancho. There are seven artists altogether including Gita Lloyd, creative entertainment writer Danielle Belton, and a host of others...

The remaining 3 pieces are the work of many hours toiling in my dark livingroom. They are marionettes and I have titled them collectively as, Big Hand Devil and the Devilettes with special guest appearance by The Worms.

Here's the pieces part way finished. I had a major headache trying to figure out puppet logistics. But all was overcome...



Once again, the show begins with a reception on October 15th from 4-7 pm. Please attend.
