The Californian gets even? - By N.L. Belardes

One of the topics that had come up with the Californian when they asked to add my blog to their community was content management. The fact that my book was negative toward them coupled with the idea that I would often criticize them led me to believe they might not like my blog when the criticism got too hot and heavy. "No problem," said Jennifer Baldwin. "We're progressive. We can handle criticism. We get that every day."

"Are you sure about that?" I asked.

Interesting how my blog was removed today from the Californian's current blog community after my critical piece. Surely they're not as progressive as once claiming to be... I had also noticed my headlines weren't appearing...

You be the judge of this email:

Nick,

We have removed your site from our current index of blogs. We will
eventually be launching a list of local, community blogs which will
include your site.

Sincerely,

Davin McHenry
Web Editor

    Just a thought...
Belton is linked up on your friends page. Friends are supportive of your decisions and are loyal supporters to your purpose in life. If she lacks the respect towards your novel, don't give her the respect of traffic links from your website. To recieve respect and traffic you must also give respect and traffic. Belton refuses you that...
You refused her interview, now refuse to give her the benefit of being allowed on your friends link.
I support your purpose, and thank you for the link on your friends page. I've referenced your novel in my blog and will continue to do so.

Maybe its me, but I've got a feeling that the Californian wants to be a really big paper. Too bad that only us local folk buy it. Heck, there are a lot of articles in the paper that are straight from AP. Sure, its necessary to get news from across the world, but why read that sort of stuff in the paper when we can get it online for almost nothing? I haven't bought a paper in 5 years, and I'll probably never get a subscription again. This blog is a lot more fun to read, anyway.
