That’s the superstition I’m going with because even though it wasn’t ‘live’, the CD was played in the arena for the first time. I found a rallying point around songs and an unbeaten streak, so I’m sticking with it. Read on…
I just read Devin Rossiter’s blog for the Condors and found it slightly disturbing. Why? I’m but a ghost in it. Strange to read that blog because I’m thinking that when it comes down to having spent time with the Stanley Cup in Bakersfield, I may just go down in history as the guy who spent the longest with the grail while in Bakersfield (other than the film crew and Mike Bolt). According to Patchboy (Devin), the Cup rolled into the Condors home office around 2:33 PM. I showed up a little before 3:00 PM and was quickly escorted by Patchboy into a small room where the Cup sat at the northern end of a long wooden table. I wasn’t expecting to see the Cup. I thought I was just being shown around the office a bit.
