Pressure from above cancels The Puck Show - By N.L. Belardes
I spoke on the phone with Puck from The Puck Show. Needless to say he didn't sound very happy about his great local show being cancelled in order to be replaced by The Don and Mike Show.
"What's the deelio," I said.
"Pressure..." Puck said, but very little more. I spoke with another source who said that the entire issue revolved around pressure from above regarding the Don and Mike Show being moved to the evening time slot after an 11-2 show was added. According to my source, Puck was offered a one-hour version of The Puck Show from 6-7, which was declined by Puck.
Well thank goodness there's the Buck City Podcast! Come on the show Puck and talk all about it...
All the best to Puck and Preston. I hope another station picks up their show or that they turn it into a kick ass Podcast!

Its a bad deal they canceled Puck I think he had good thing going over there. At the same time I like Don and Mike and it sucked when they moved them to late night. The should cancel Phil Hendry and put puck in his place. Thats radio for ya always changing.
You know podcast wouldn't be a bad idea. Most people nowadays have more computers than radio,well maybe.
That's too bad...
I've known Puck for years, and remember listening to him with Scott Cox, then when he got his own show. Puck is a seriously hard working guy, and he deserves to be on the airwaves! Puck made being a delivery driver back in the day alot more pleasant, especially since I only had AM radio in my old piece o' shit work van...
I'm sure Puck and Preston will be back!

Bottom line KGEO sucks and they can’t get it right. They should of left well enough alone. Senior management had to F it all up to save what they thought would be a few bucks. Thank God for XM radio. I went back to my XM since hot talk turned into “Old ass over 80 talk” with that Radio Tradio crap. Nice move guys. I liked D&M during the day live and the Puck show. Now it’s all screwed up. I hope Puck does well in whatever he decides to do. I am sure he will succeed.
The higher-ups at KGEO must have their heads up there asses! who cares about the Radio acution except some 50 yr old ladies. They should put the acution on from 7-9am then Rome next D & M and finish the steller line up up with the Puck Show
Dang.. this is the first I've heard about the cancellation.. I know I've been busy lately and not able to listen to the radio like I have been, but this really came out of nowhere. This can all be summed up to that crap Tradio. The whole line-up had to be screwed up just so they could fit that snoozefest in there during the middle of the day? C'mon.. get serious.. This just goes to show how out of touch corporate is. It makes me wonder if they even enjoy listening to the radio-- or do they just see it as another business venture? Egh, anyway.. the best to Puck and Preston.. I know you guys will find your niche(s) in whatever you do..
They ought to cancel Don and Mike and throw Puck back it their place. Don and Mike are tired old guys laughing at their own stupid jokes. Get rid of Tradio ... get rid of Don and Mike ... keep Hendry and put Puck back on.
Seriously they need to put on ALL 3 HOURS of Rome...then the home shoping network for the blind for 2 hours,or just drop that turd in the toilet completely. then Puck back at 4-7..how can we help..let us know!!!
You can help by spreading the word about their podcast, so good folks can listen in until they get back on the radio again...
They still have the same line up after a few weeks? Are you serious? I thought that shit would be a full out Mexican radio station by now. Not that there is anything wrong with that. F Radio tradio. Memo to the people at radio tradio…….if you see me drunk in a bar don’t tell me where you work. I can’t be responsible for tongue-lashing that ensues. BRING BACK PUCK YOU DICK HEADS. Oh and you can find me at any Condors game 4th row from the penalty box on the right side. When you get their just yell out Shawn. I will be the big guy in the Chiefs Jersey (from the movie not the nfl team). I don’t hide behind my posts : ).
