A world of blogs and adverts - By N.L. Belardes

First off, a big shout out to Howard. I met him yesterday and he says he reads my blog every day. He walked up to me near Fishlips while I was about to turn a corner. He wore a big tag that read, ‘Executive’. Lately I have been meeting nice folks who enjoy being entertained on nlbelardes.com’s Paperback Writer: A Bakersfield, California Literature and Music Blog, the hockey blog, and Portable Protocol. What a refreshing feeling to know I’m not just writing into the big vacuum of cyberspace. I’ve been writing to folks in Europe and in North America regarding my tech blog, Portable Protocol. I had some fun using Babelfish to translate some German regarding some tech writings I made.

When I say I have 1000 readers a day, the numbers are actually much higher. That's 1000 on nlbelardes.com. Now factor in the blogs. Try 2000 readers a day...

A lot of people want to know what I do during business hours. You can read some of that on ProSoft Technology Talks Industrial Automation. I don’t just write blogs, I write ad copy. You can get a glimpse of one of my ads and the ad copy I write. Most of the time we don't use stock photos. This photo happened to be a stock photo colorized for the theme of the ad in Adobe Photoshop. I did take the photo of the Application Development Module...

Ahh, the world of adverts; it’s a strange world of fast-paced moving, complex creativity, and marketing strategizing…

Well Nick, I must say you are one very interesting writer to read. :) A friend of mine got me your book for my birthday a few weeks ago and I've been dying to jump into. Finally, I have had some time and I must say I was very impressed. Then the fog came rolling in and with all your depictions I started freakin' myself out... I really love it so far. :) I can't wait to finish it and the second book to come out. I always found the topic quite interesting (including the articles that were in the paper, but I'm not really a fan of how accurate our paper is sometimes, so it's a rarity that I'll even pick it up.)

    Thanks. :) Sey
