The $200 car has celebrated its one year anniversary on January 15, 2006. It is still running well, still leaking oil like crazy, but has averaged around $71 per month in ownership costs, less gas and insurance.
Jerry, when asked about this monumental occasion, stated "It's been a hard year for me. I mean, c'mon - the jealous looks I get from other drivers, you'd swear I was driving a BMW!"
Jerry's family and friends, wishing to distance themselves to keep from appearing as white trash, had no comment.
