    Thanks for the podcast. Haslam sounds like the prick he is. So full of himself! How can he write about a place he's moved far away from?! He doesn't sound proud of where he comes from, but don't think he gives a shit as long as he makes money from his books. What an asshole!

    Other than that, sounds like you had an interesting time and may be able to help Bakersfield be known for the true talent that is yet to be discovered.

    This was a great and inspiring podcast! I love how you wove valley music in with interviews from valley writers.

    Haslam does sound soooo full of himself, which is exactly how he acted at the conference. His comments about Bakersfield and Buck Owens are outrageous!

    This podcast will allow more of the valley literary community to know what's going on in Bakersfield literary, music and art scenes... great job!
