But that's only if the war widens, which the Saudis and others fear will happen.
Who thought 9-11 was going to be a reality, that more than 200 people would jump from the Twin Towers that fateful morning?
Should you be terrified? I don't think so... but you should be aware...

I think this will be 3rd world war... i mean look at the news it shows bombs blowing up and places on fire. if the U.S was involved then they wouldn't show those pictures. they did that in vietnam and people wanted the war to stop immediatly. if you wanna know more on all this message me back.

I don't know if it will be WWIII. It has potential. Needs more nip and tuck.
I'm not convinced the current conflict is the start of WWIII either, however, it does have the potential to widen and possibly engulf the world's powers. It reminds me of the start of WWI, invloving a nationalist organization attacking a sovernign nation with an unprovoked assisnation; then the resulting alliances engulfed the world and a little over 4 years later millions died and the stage was set for contiuned cycles of war. One can even make the arguement that due to the Versallie treaty, please forgive, horrible speller and without spell check I look like an idiot, today's Middle East crisis can be traced to how the world's powers divided up the Ottoman Empire. And yes, before smart ass say's something, yes and two millenia of religious fevor doesn't hurt!
As for fearing another 9-11, I do, every day. I'm in public safety, lost my mentor that day in the towers, and know if a major attack occured in LA, I would be on the first wave out and could also pay the ultimate price. Hezbollah is a dangerous organization. They are the most advanced terror group alive;it is no joke they are called the A-team of Terror. Hopefully, although they are fanatics, they do realize by directly attacking America on her shores, it would lead to their immediate destruction. Israel would have to stand in line. Bush again would be given a blank check to destroy terror.
Why wouldn't they show the pictures? This is a new day and age where almost anything goes as far as the media in concerned. Sometimes to a fault.

Anonymous, there are many many questions surrounding 9-11. I'm not sure photos of the more than 200 jumpers with body parts and pools of blood would have made Americans feel any better about the truth that people died.
The impact of a body crashing at 150mph on the news would have traumatized and terrified even more, providing terrorists a great victory over Americans and the media.
There are many searches online you can do to find grotesque imagery from that day...
I don't recommend looking. It's tough enough to read detailed reports.
Have you thought about the religion factor?
Currencies standardizing in europe to Euros and now wars in the middle east.

at first i thought it might be the beginning of ww3, but now it seems like a dangerous chess game with violent players. we should all stay aware because you just never know...
I was on a "Holy Land" tour in 1973. We couldn't take pic's overlooking the harbor of Beirut, 'cause of the military ships and all. Israel, and all those country's we visited were heavily armed where ever we went.That Middle East seems like a never ending battle.
Last night here in Life-As-It-Should-Be Bakersfield was interesting. The power went out in our neighborhood. I went outside and started wetting down the roof, to keep the house cool( really just a good excuse to have another beer!). I was out there a little bit and I heard what sounded like firecrackers going off in the distance. The power came back on a few minutes later, and I went back inside.
Sirens followed, and then we tuned into the news... "Shooting on Appleblossum"!!
That's right, some thugs thought they'd rob the Lucky 7 on Planz and Stine by my house...body count so far- 1 dead, 2 injured.
World peace? How about some friggin' Bakersfield peace!!!
Update on the Bakersfield shooting...It's still sketchy...not a robbery, but the media reports a peace disturbance in the parking lot of the Lucky 7 on Planz and Stine...maybe one or two still on loose...one 18yr. old dead...two injured...no story in The Californian on this murder on the streets of Bakersfield...what's the big cover-up? I guess it's easier to go over-seas!
