Hit and run on Bakersfield police on Forrest Street? - By N.L. Belardes

7pm: What's going down on Forrest Street?
On my way home from the Kern County Fair I saw Bakersfield police, Kern County Sherriffs and news media on patrol. I introduced myself to some of my neighbors and talked to the media: hit and run on police and a high speed chase in the Oleander area...

"Always something exciting going on in this area day or night," said one of my neighbors.

What's next?
UPDATE: A park ranger was hit... some of the occupants of the evading vehicle were dropped off on Forrest and H Street and caught on nearby Cherry St. (news)

so THAT's what happened. Yeah I stopped by my buddies to use their loo and check the space. I didn't know where to drive to...I was kind of worried.
Wow. Wasn't KayK just talking about the dangerous drivers on Forrest on her bakotopia.com blog? Hopefully this will help get some speed bumps or more PD in the area to watch for crazy drivers.
Don't worry we know a guy at the paintless dent removal shop and he said that he wouldn't say anything
there's always crazy stuff happening in your neighborhood...
there's always shit going on in the central area.
Aww bless, another beautiful day in my neighborhood.
What was that saying Mr. Rogers used to sing...? I believe he was talking about your street!
that's one of the freaky weirdest neighborhoods in all of bakersfield. i've known... four families? that live there, aside from mr belardes here. between those four families they cover the gamit of lifestyles, in all normal ways that gamit can be covered. aside from people, the style of homes, how well they're maintained, and various other aspects don't differ from street to street, they differ on each street as you're walking down it! add to that the LoB:P1 creepy factor and it's safely secured in my personal bakersfield listings as "very weird".
n.l. workin the beat!
Gotta get on the beat. Even though I print inaccurate info, I pose as a question, and to let people know that something is happening, so be aware...
something like that...
and besides, it was media people who gave me info... so that says something about how other media presents info when all details aren't in...
work the beat!
Dang!
These stories just fall right in your lap. NL the rogue reporter strikes again.
The major crime in my little area is some douche bag driving a chevy tahoe running me off the road and giving me the finger as they go by, I feel fortunate.
It's amazing how much news is in my own backyard. I still feel terrible for the kids who died from the bomb blast...
