Starbleeped again? - By N.L. Belardes

Sorry, I couldn't help it after that last article. I did hang out at a Starbucks last night. No problems to report. I asked Matildakay to go to the window to order so they wouldn't think I was in the house to stir up trouble. And I didn't have coffee, just a water. I think it cost $25.

I wonder how much Starbucks is per barrel.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - U.S. consumers aren't going to balk at paying an extra nickel for their daily cup of Starbucks coffee despite high gas prices and other pressures on their wallets, analysts said on Friday.

Starbucks' announcement on Thursday that it will raise prices on drinks such as lattes and brewed coffee by 5 cents a cup came as a pleasant surprise to many on Wall Street, who said the move is sure to boost sales and earnings but unlikely to spook customers who see a trip to the chain as an affordable luxury. To quote Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: "Good Morning Starshine, the Earth says Hello!"

People will never give up their starbucks no matter how much it costs... its ingrained in society.

I will still buy Starbucks. It's one of those things I don't do very often. It's a treat. Kind of like women who go out and buy shoes or a new purse when they are having a bad day. Or a new lipstick. I buy Starbucks. It makes me happy.

I'll go to Juice and Java to buy a Coconut smoothie(
    Congo Colada)
, or a berry smoothie, Monkey Madness (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries) But nobody makes a Carmel Machiato(sp?) the way Starbucks does!
