Jesse Rivera adds another new blog to the Central Valley mix - By N.L. Belardes

Where John Jones may one day bring his infamous Black Dog blog back, I can say that one local blogger to the Bakersfield area has come back with prose of fury.

Jesse Rivera is one of the pioneers of Bakersfield scene. His blog, Illpressed had quite a few readers and landed him recognition as a respected area writer in the blogosphere.

He's been writing Mexican on a Diet, but is now back with illasever.com's "Valley Scrive - Viva The Ill Press", a Central Valley blog that will hopefully land him recognition as a diversified writer and blogger...

I almost never read blogs where the blog author never responds to comments.

    is s.r. talking to me?

I've visited your site JR, and read a few posts. Cool place, but you don't respond to comments, at least from what I saw on the first page. That is, unless you use a different moniker for that section. I went through all of the comments on the front page and didn't see your name once.

yessir...SR is talking to you, brutha

Why should I respond to the comments? The blog itself is my comment to the world. I don't have time to respond to individual comments. Well maybe I do have the time but I'm just too lazy. I do from time to time on a post thank all the readers for their support.
-S.R. thanks for coming by and reading my blog and leaving comments. JR

No one says that you have to respond to comments, or not. It is an individual choice. To me as a reader, when the author never responds, its like a cold declaration, no camraderie, interaction.
