Bakersfield band Throatshot reinvents into Christian band, Behold a Pale Horse - By N.L. Belardes
Throatshot is no more. I think the band recognized their name wasn't taking them anywhere fast. It was the kind of name that could give anyone a bad name. I never put emphasis on the name Throatshot, just on their music. I wanted potential fans to check them out for their great tunes. With that said, Throatshot has now become Behold a Pale Horse.
As of November 7th, 2006, you could read about their new message from lead man, Brad:
Truth is our greatest weapon
Once to every man and nation
comes a moment to decide
In the strife of truth with falsehood
For the good or evil side
It is a brave man that chooses
While the coward stands aside
A deep understanding for truth is our greatest weapon. Modern America has sought to replace Christ with their own versions of the truth and influence us all. We are being mowed down by the need to self indulge. We now live in a land of true idol worship. Turn on your T.V. and see what I am talking about. Young girls vomit their dinner and dance in cages, to be more like what they see in the venom soaked box that sits in our living rooms. Young men have lost honor and have gained 4 wheel drive capabiltity. They prowl the night looking to de-value the first girl they see stumbling on a drunken dance floor. We live in the most free thinking society in the world and all we want to do is dull our senses. Distractions from the truth are killing our image of the things that we should hold dear. They cant even keep a marriage together after swearing an oath before God. We are never satisfied with what we have and have never been satisfied with anything. Make a choice. Dont be another brick in the wall. They have set out a course for you now and it is your job to break the mold.
