The new A Year Without A Santa Claus on TV tonight - By N.L. Belardes

While I work on blog articles I might as well let all you TV watchers out there who don't watch those three dying networks, the new in-the-flesh version of A Year Without A Santa Clause will be on tonight. Why do I think you care about a made-for-TV musical? Because if you grew up singing that Heat Miser song every year like I did, then you'll want to see the song in the flesh.

You know you watch the animated version every year. Admit it.

Might be a good night to get a Christmas tree and get drunk on eggnog.

i do watch it every year! i even bought the dvd so i can watch it at odd times during the year too...

i'm looking forward to this one tonight! woo hoo! i love the snowmizer, heatmizer, and all those classic characters.

I haven't seen this in years... not sure I'll catch it tonight either. :) But I remember loving it when I was younger. I love animation and stop motion movies! If they're good, they're reall good, and not just for kids.

My kids are too scared. They are their momma's kids. hehehe. I could never watch it when I was a kid either.

OK, I liked the Heat Miser and John Goodman. The rest sucked. The kid should have been on a box of Life cereal, not acting.

i was sooooo disappointed in this movie! :( no "blue christmas" song and only a few of the actors were actually worthwhile. if it weren't for john goodman as santa, delta burke as mrs. c, chris kattan as sparky, and harvey f. as the heatmiser... i wouldn't have watched it all the way through. i'll stick to the classic cartoon.

Love the old animated classics, but for live acting, every year it's gotta be "Christmas Vacation" and "The Ref"!

I'm so out of touch with Christmas specials and movies... I don't know what to pick. Free Willy!

Yay, I wasn't the only one watching! Did anyone else notice that the "hot" chicks were much hotter than the "cold" chicks?

The "hot" chicks were definitely hotter than the "cold" chicks. I think they did that on purpose though.

I was majorly disappointed in this too. Nothing beats the classic.

    "Free Willy," NL??
    Lol!!

You know, Matt, that big Christmas whale in the elf hat has to escape his plastic tank to get to the North Pole where Santa promises freedom and penguins that taste like chicken...
