Bakotunes Radio numero 48 shouts out to Paperback Writer - By N.L. Belardes

I was talking to Matt Munoz today about his incredible podcast: Bakotunes Radio. It's professional, edited wonderfully, and has great soundbites. And Munoz asks perfect questions of the band, Skalavera, who performed in Bakersfield recently.

"My podcast was done in a tuna can during a rainstorm in comparison to Bakotunes," I laughed in a phone call to Matt.

Listen to Episode 48. It's really good!

Thanks for the shout out!

Pro sounding? Talented host? These things have no place on a podcast.

    -Signed, the-shity-sounding DORKTOWN PODCAST

I like having the bands introducing their songs - I'm stealing that one.

Dorktown will forever reign supreme. And that's tough to say because I'm in Bakersfield and you're in FresNO

Not to feed Matt's big HUGE ego and make his poor CABEZA any bigger... but he does great interviews.

I really enjoy listening to his podcasts even when I don't know who the band is. After the podcast interview you end up knowing all you need to know (he asks the right questions) and then there are the songs in the end to listen to. nice touch

You know who else USED to do really GREAT, informative podcasts? This novelist dude out of Bakersfield named Nick Bel... hmmm Bel.. something or other.

But he hasn't done any for a loooong time and rumor has it he's retired. He's probably in Florida in some old folks home right now sipping on chick drinks and/or geritol.

Then of course there was Smalltown Girls.. but I won't go there. I'll just start to choke up. :)

Buck City is retired. Smalltown Girls is lost but not soon forgotten...
