Condolences to JoAnn's family in Ohio - By N.L. Belardes
Sad news hearing that a regular reader of this site has passed away. Condolences to the family of JoAnn. May the family find peace.
Note from regular reader and contributor, Norma:
I received news this morning that my friend JoAnn from Ohio passed away. (she's posted on my articles on your blog before... and on bakotopia.com) She called herself my "Buckeye" friend because of her love of college football. She had lung cancer which she'd beat.. then last week she told me that they'd found a spot on her lungs and she had an appt. on Monday for further testing. I never heard from her again so I called her house and her niece told me she collapsed in the doctor's office and passed away...

Condolences to JoAnn's family.
My last online talk with JoAnn was this:
Norma:Hope somebody smiles and at you and makes you day a little brighter. I'm smiling at you all right now AND I have spinach in my teeth. there.. did that make you smile?
JoAnn:
Thanks Norma for the smile. I needed that. Now go brush your teeth.
Please think of me at 2:00 today as I have my CT scan done. Results on Wednesday when I see the oncologist.
It is still raining but it's 53 degrees so no chance of freezing rain right now anyway.
I got a lot of shredding done over the weekend but still have more to do. Would you believe I had pay stubs dating back to 1984?
Enjoy the day and don't forget to smile!
she was getting her stuff in order the past week or so... I wonder if she knew?
JoAnn loved rainbows. I bet she's sitting on top of one right now!
My heart goes out to JoAnn's family...
Very sad.
the best thing you have done, dear norma, is kept her smiling. that's the best gift to give to a cancer patient, no matter what the stage... believe me, i know.
much love and prayers to JoAnn's family and friends. it's never an easy thing to deal with...
Thanks chingpea. Part of me knows she's in a better place, but the selfish part of me wishes she was still with us.
